All five NZ rowing crews into last chance Rio finals

All five New Zealand crews have made their respective finals at the last chance Olympic qualifying Rowing regatta in Switzerland.

Emma Twigg won her womens single-scull semi-final to qualify, while the men's four were second in their repechage and the men's lightweight double were third in their semi-final.

The men's and women's quads won their heats on the first day to reach their respective finals.

Twigg, the 2014 World Champion, led from the start in her semi-final to record the fastest time in the single sculls.

She needs to finish in the first three in tonight's final to qualify for Rio.

All the other crews have to finish in the top two.

New Zealand has already qualified nine boat classes for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
