Two die at Isle of Man TT

Two competitors have been killed during the opening day of the Isle of Man TT Races.

Sidecar driver Dwight Beare and motorcylists Paul Shoesmith both died following seperate crashes on the island circuit.

Almost 250 drivers and spectators have died in the 100 years of racing at the Isle of Man.

Meanwhile New Zealand's Bruce Anstey was eighth in the opening Superbike race.

Northern Irishman Michael Dunlop set a new absolute lap record and recorded the first sub 17-minute lap in winning the race.

It was Dunlop's 12th TT win.
