The Phoenix will kick off the season against Melbourne City in Wellington on October 8th.

The club's general manager David Dome says Wellington will host one less match than last year as the club tries to increase its average crowd from 8,000 to 10,000, which was a condition of their ten year extended licence deal with Football Federation Australia.
