New Zealand to play Samoa in sevens final

The New Zealand rugby sevens team will face Samoa in the cup final of the IRB Las Vegas tournament after the series leaders beat Kenya 21-7 in their semi-final.

Kenya took an early lead with a converted try three minutes into the match, but New Zealand's Zar Lawrence scored between the posts seconds before half time to lock the scores 7-all at the break.

Kurt Baker and Lote Raikabula made their way over the try-line in the second half to seal the victory for New Zealand, with Tomasi Cama making sure of the win by kicking both conversions.

Samoa beat Australia 14-12 in the other semi, after a close-fought match which saw the lead consistently change hands.

The final's due to get underway at 3.45pm.
