The Blues winger Tevita Li will move south to the Highlanders for the 2017 Super Rugby season.
The 21-year-old made his debut for the Blues in 2014 and has been their regular left wing this season.
The Highlanders announced the news of Li's recruitment on Twitter.
Li represented New Zealand at U20 level in 2014 and 2015, winning the World Championship last year.
In recent years the Highlanders have managed to lure the likes of Waisake Naholo and Malakai Fekitoa away from Auckland.
