The four-time World Champion threw 20.19m to win the Hungarian Athletics grand prix in Budapest, her final event before next month's Rio Games.

Adams winning throw was also a meet record.

The meet featured the majority of her Olympic rivals, including Germany's Christina Schwanitz and American Michelle Carter.

The season's best throw comes just a few days after Adams threw over 20m at the Diamond League meeting in Monaco, her first throw over the 20m mark in more than 18 months.

Adams now heads back to her training base as she continues her preparation for her title defence in Rio.
