Langman's netball future up in the air

4:14 pm on 20 July 2016

The Silver Ferns mid-courter Laura Langman says she won't make up her mind about whether she plays her netball in New Zeland or Australia next year until after the trans-Tasman competition finishes.

Langman has played for the Sydney based Swifts this season having got a dispensation from Netball New Zealand to do so.

Australian netball clubs are likely to target more players like New Zealand's Langman who is currently playing for the NSW Swifts.

On Monday night Langman and the Swifts will play the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic for a place in the grand final.

From next year New Zealand and Australia will run their own domestic competitions and Langman is still considering her options.

"2017 is probably the furthest thought from my mind right now..I always like to have time to evaluate where I am, both on and off the court.

"It's been the most wonderful experience here...certainly challenging but I have some fantastic memories (but) it's a decision that will have to wait until mid-August."

The other semi-final is between the Southern Steel and the Brisbane based Queensland Firebirds.
