The England fly-half Danny Cipriani is to quit the London rugby side Wasps at the end of the season to play for the newly-formed Australian team Melbourne Rebels in the Super 15.

The22-year-old Cipriani, who has won seven caps, has decided to put his Test career on hold while he seeks to improve his game down under,

Wasps though, say a return to them in the future has been discussed already.

Cipriani has been out of favour since Martin Johnson took over as England coach, although he remains one of the domestic game's brightest talents.
