Kiwis still in mix at Burghley

Five New Zealand riders are still in the top 10 at the Burghley Horse Trials in England after the cross country.

Tim Price jumped clear but outside the time on Ringwood Sky Boy, his second score of 44.9 lifting him up to second overall.

Andrew Nicholson's third, Jonelle Price fourth, Sir Mark Todd sixth and Caroline Powell seventh.

Australia's Christopher Burton leads, heading into the showjumping.

Five time champion Nicholson jumped an excellent clear round just outside the time in awful conditions on Nereo. His score of 47.2 put him in the lead briefly.

Powell, who's also a past Burghley champion, also jumped clear outside the time with horse Onwards and Upwards.
