Tiger Woods' New Zealand caddie Steve Williams says he won't tolerate any heckling of his star player whenever the world's number one golfer returns to competition.

On Saturday Woods apologized for cheating on his wife, Elin, and said he's unsure when he'll return to golf.

Williams has a reputation for not tolerating heckling or unauthorized use of cameras in the galleries when Woods is playing.

Speaking to the Sun-Herald from the Gold Coast, where he's on holiday, Williams says nothing changes, it's his job to try and give him a level playing field.

Williams feels Woods could get a positive reception when he returns.... he believes people will be appreciative of the fact he is going to play.

Williams says he feels Woods has a well thought-out plan in his recovery process.
