Australia's netballers have recovered from an historic defeat to England by levelling their three-Test series at 1-all.

The Diamonds, who lost to England for the first time since 1981 in their opening match in Liverpool yesterday, won 53-48 in Nottingham this morning.

Wing attack Madison Browne, who earned her first Test cap for Australia against Scotland earlier in the tour, was named player of the match.

Kate Beveridge led the Diamonds' shooters with 31 goals from 38 attempts for 82 per cent, while Natalie Medhurst shot 22 from 27 for 81 per cent.
