The Kiwis will be without second-rower Simon Mannering for Saturday night's one-off rugby league test against the Kangaroos in Perth.
Mannering has had minor keyhole surgery to clean out his knee and has been given an extra week to recover before joining with the team in Auckland next week for the UK leg of the tour.

But the rest of the squad - bar Storm forward Kevin Proctor - have arrived in Perth and had their first training today.
Proctor will join the squad on Tuesday.
The Kiwis fullback and winger Jordan Kahu said the conditions in Perth were a lot like those you'd expect in Wellington.
But he said he didn't expect the conditions to make any impact on the way the team approaches the game.
"It's quite windy and it's a bit cold but it's not too bad I guess.
"It's going to be a massive game through the middle and it doesn't matter on the conditions but the forward packs are going to go at it so I guess the forwards have got to prepare pretty well and the backs have got to just make sure that we do our jobs as well.
The Kangaroos test is a one-off ahead of the four nations competition in the UK at the end of the month, but Kahu said they're firmly focused on Saturday's match.
"As cliched as it sounds you've got to take one game at a time and this one's a massive one, it's obviously a test against Australia and it means so much to the Kiwis to come up against Australia.
"We don't want to let this one slip by just because we're thinking ahead to the four nations, we want to make sure we're fully focussed on this game and then hopefully put [in] a good performance and then take that confidence over to the UK."
The Perth test kick's off at midnight on Saturday night (NZ time).
