Godfrey feels back to his best ahead of track meet

New Zealand track cyclist Hayden Godfrey feels like he's back to his best ahead of this weekend's meeting in Australia, following a training accident last month.

The 2008 Omnium world champion was hit by a car while training in Christchurch which resulted in him needing surgery on his arm and forcing him out of this month's national champs.

Godfrey is using the track meet to prepare for next month's world champs and he says while he's yet to truly test himself since the accident, he won't be holding back this weekend.

The track cycling world champs will be held in Copenhagen at the end of March.
