New Zealand doubles player Michael Venus and his Croatian partner Mate Pavic slew giants to reach the final of the Stockholm Tennis Open.
In their semi-final, Venus and Pavic defeated the current Australian Open and US Open champions, Bruno Soares and Marcelo Melo from Brazil.
Ranked No.2 and No.7 in the world respectively, Soares and Melo went down in straight sets 6-2 6-4
The match took just over an hour in which Venus and Pavic broke their opponents serve three times out of seven opportunities, while the Brazilians had five break point opportunities they could not convert.
The final will by the 8th this year for the Kiwi and Croat connection and could lead to a fifth title after wins in Auckland, Montpellier, Marseille and s-Hertogenbosch.
They were also finalists in Metz, Gstaad and Nice.
Venus is currently ranked 38 in the world, one off his career-best.
