The Black Caps are seeking a marked improvement when they meet India in the fourth one day cricket international in Ranchi tonight.
New Zealand must win the match to keep the five match series alive, with hosts India leading the Black Caps 2-1 after the first three games.

They suffered a seven wicket loss in game three in Chandigarh after a middle order collapse restricted them to a sub-par total of 285 all out.
Black Caps batsman Tom Latham said they're still searching for a perfect performance in India and the onus is on the batsmen to up their game.
"The last game I think we managed to get ourselves in a good position at 160 for 3 and managed to lose wickets in clumps," Latham said.
"So I think if we can go a little bit better through that middle order and build a few more partnerships, then hopefully we can put that icing on the cake.
"I think it is important that you do make subtle adjustments to different surfaces and we know we haven't put our best performance out with the bat for a few games now, but everyone's trying very hard to find that perfect performance."
Latham top scored for the Black Caps in Chandigarh with 61 runs, while all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was the only other New Zealander to make a half century.
The match starts at 9.00pm tonight (NZ Time).
