Did Johnson miss Four Nations drop goal?

Australia may be getting worried ahead of this weekend's Four Nations rugby league clash between the Kangaroos and Kiwis, with suggestions New Zealand's Shaun Johnson actually missed the match-winning drop goal against England.

Tournament hosts England were beaten 17-16 by the Kiwis on Sunday morning, with Johnson scoring the winning one-pointer with 15 minutes still to play.

But the ABC is suggesting a video of the match-winning moment posted online makes the goal look a bit iffy, even when zoomed in and slowed down.

The live television shots lost the ball out of frame, but the replay from behind the posts calls into question the validity of the 65th-minute one-pointer

It appears the shot could have been pushed just wide of the right post.

At the time of the goal, referee Robert Hicks was running along the tryline on the opposite side of the uprights.

England did not protest the decision.

After the Kangaroos beat Scotland in their opener, England must now beat the Bravehearts at Coventry on Sunday morning and overcome Australia in London to have any hope of reaching the final at Anfield on November 20.

The Kiwis meet Australia in their Four Nations Test on Sunday morning.
