The Silver Ferns most experienced player - Laura Langman and shooter Ameliaranne Ekenasio have been left out of the 2017 squad.
As expected, Langman has been left out of the squad as she prepares to play a season of netball in Australia's new domestic competition.
Ekenasio has also been left out as she's expecting her first child in May.
There are two new faces in the squad - midcourter Sam Sinclair and defender Kelly Jury, both of whom play for the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic.
Jury and Sinclair are the only uncapped players in the squad - a squad that features a combined 455 Test Caps.
Silver Ferns coach Janine Southby says she is excited by the progress of the squad over the last 12 months.
"We have introduced a number of new players to the Silver Ferns environment over the last 12 months - five players made their Silver Ferns debut in 2016 which is an indication of the depth we are building in all areas of the court," Southby said.
"Sam and Kelly were standouts during the FAST5 Ferns victory at the Fast5 Netball World Series and with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games fast approaching and a big international season ahead of us, now is the time to give them some experience at that next level."
The Silver Ferns team for the Netball Quad Series in South Africa and England in January/February 2017 will be announced in December.
Silver Ferns triallists will be announced following the completion of the 2017 ANZ Premiership in June, with trials to be conducted in July.
