Apology from adidas over All Blacks faux pas

The All Blacks major sponsor Adidas has apologised after an embarassing blunder when it confused Malakai Fekitoa with Julian Savea in a promotional video.

A screen grab of the Julian Savea video from Adidas shows footage of Malakai Fekitoa

The video posted on social media is 15 seconds long centred around Savea.

In it Savea states, "I'm Julian Savea and on November 26th I will take on Paris"

The only thing is amid the strobe effects and fast video cuts, the rugby footage is of Malakai Fekitoa.

Adidas it seems have struggled to tell apart All Blacks of Polynesian heritage while another embarassing factor is that Fekitoa has been suspended for the French test.

Fekitoa was found guilty of dangerous play after making a high tackle in the win over Ireland at the weekend.

In a statement the company's New Zealand manager Quentin Bleakley said "we sincerely apologise to all fans for any offence our promotional video may have caused. We will be rectifying our video as soon as possible."
