Northern Districts beat Central Districts by 10 runs in Hamilton.
Dean Brownlie and BJ Watling got Northern off to a good start while an unbeaten 45 from Mitchell Santner got them through to 197 for 5.
In reply Central opener Mahela Jayawardene made 64 as Central finished on 187.
Canterbury beat Otago by 7 runs in Christchurch.
Peter Fulton made 64 as the hosts scored 157 for 7, Australian Ben Hilfenhaus then took 5 wickets as Otago finished on 150.
Auckland top the standings with 16 points, Central have 14, Otago and Canterbury 12, Northern 10 and Wellington 4.
