Edwards, Val Smith, Kirsten Edwards and Tayla Bruce came from behind to beat the four skipped by Lisa White 22-11 on Saturday.

After the seventh end White's team were ahead 8- 5 but they couldn't gain momentum over the Blackjacks-dominant side, only managing to score on the 11th and 15th ends.

Experience was also evident in the men's fours final with Peter Belliss' team of Blake Signal, Richard Girvan and Lance Tasker romping home 23-9 against the four skipped by Dean Elgar.

The win gave Lance Tasker of Tauranga his fifth national open title and a gold-star.

Tasker won his first national title in 1995 with Peter Belliss in the men's pairs.

On Sunday, Ali Forsyth and his father Neville will defend their men's pairs title against Gary Lawson and Nev Rodda.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Selina Goddard will play for the women's singles title against Reen Stratford.
