The 30-year-old allegedly assaulted a police officer inside a police station.

He has been charged with assaulting police and being found in a police establishment without a lawful excuse.

Higginbotham is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 21.

He has 32 international caps with Australia, and is returning to the Queensland Reds for this year's Super Rugby season after a stint in Japan.
