The New Zealand men's softball team, the Black Sox, have won the Challenge Cup with a 9-0 defeat of Argentina in today's final.

The decisive result in the final was a far cry from the tight match the two teams played a day earlier that featured an all in brawl at the six team tournament in Auckland.
New Zealand won that game 8-6 after losing only one of the ten games they played during the five day event in Albany.
