The Police are investigating a complaint against the Chiefs Super 14 rugby player Sione Lauaki, after an early morning incident at a central city Hamilton bar.
The Hamilton police confirmed they're looking into a complaint against a 28-year-old professional rugby player who they would not name,
But the Chiefs' management confirmed former All Black Lauaki is again under police investigation.
Senior-Sergeant Greg Dunn says noone involved in the incident has been arrested however a rugby player voluntarily returned to the Hamilton police station to be interviewed.
He says the complainant is still being interviewed and it's too early to say if any charges will be laid.
Lauaki previously appeared in court in relation to damaging a motel unit and in 2006 he was offered police diversion after admitting assaulting a security guard.
