Mo'unga had surgery yesterday on a fractured bone in his left hand.

Mo'unga suffered the injury in Saturday night's 17-13 win over the ACT Brumbies in Christchurch.

A Crusaders statement said Mo'unga was recovering well and expected he would need six to eight weeks before returning to play.

Marty McKenzie is the likely replacement at number ten for this weekend's game against the Highlanders.
