The Wellington Phoenix have been swept by Sydney FC in this season's A-league but will be looking to reverse that trend when they square off in next weekend's preliminary final in Australia.
The Phoenix, fresh from last night's 3-1 extra time win over Newcastle at a sold out Westpac Stadium, will take a day's rest before beginning their buildup for the Sydney clash.
The winner of the game will go on top face Melbourne in the grand final in Victoria on March the 20th.
The Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert is well aware of his sides poor record against the Sky Blues but says regular season results count for little in finals football.
