Opening bowler Tim Southee has been dropped from the New Zealand side for the first cricket test against South Africa in Dunedin.
The Black Caps have opted to play two spinners, with offpsinner Jeetan Patel coming in for Southee.
Allrounder Jimmy Neesham has also been included in the playing eleven at the expense of Colin de Grandhomme.
That means Trent Boult and Neil Wagner will be the opening bowling pairing.
The last time Southee wasn't picked for a New Zealand test, other than for injury, was against India in 2012.
While the last time he was dropped in a home match was five years ago after the test against South Africa in Dunedin.
South Africa have won the toss and decided to bat.
