A fire alarm that prompted an evacuation of the park where the Black Caps are taking on South Africa was a false alarm, the Fire Service says.
The alarm in the grandstand at University Oval in Dunedin went off this afternoon, briefly forcing the evacuation of everyone at the ground.
South Africa were 14 for one, 19 runs behind New Zealand, when play on the third day of the first test was suspended.
The match resumed shortly afterwards.
The Black Caps said the end of play would be pushed to 6.20pm to make up for the delay.
