The All Whites newcomer Jai Ingham says it was a very easy decision to make to give his allegiance to New Zealand rather than Australia.

The Melbourne Victory forward was born in Australia but qualifies for New Zealand through his mother.

23 year old Jai and his younger brother Dane, who plays for Brisbane, could both debut against Fiji in the Fifa World Cup qualifying series which starts this weekend.

"It's huge, not just for me and him but for our whole family both in Australia and New Zealand."

"It's amazing to get the callup with him and hopefully we can both get on the field at the same time and show what we're all made of."

Jai Ingham was one of just a half a dozen players that started a camp in Wellington today with the rest of the squad arriving over the next two days.

Ingham says he had a quite word with his All Whites and Victory team-mate Marco Rojas about joining up with the national side.

"Every time he came back from a camp he said how good it was and encouraged him to join up."
