The former All Blacks sevens player Rory Grice and fellow New Zealander Dylan Hayes who were among six players suspended during police investigations into a rape allegation have been reinstated by their French club Grenoble.

The former Wallabies international Peter Kimlin, with Ireland's Dennis Coulson and Chris Farrell, Frenchman Loick Jammes were interviewed by French police in Grenoble earlier this month.

No charges were laid and the club has reinstated the players while reserving the right to take further action if new information emerges.

The investigation reportedly stemmed from a 21-year-old woman's allegation that she was drugged and raped after meeting players at a Bordeaux nightclub on March 11th.

Jammes, Grice and Coulson were detained overnight by police.
