The Pulse led 17-14 at the end of the first quarter with shooters Te Amo Amaru-Tibble and Cathrine Tuivaiti showing some nice touches to overcome a slow start by the visitors.

The Magic though bounced back in the second quarter turning the screws screws defensively, as defenders Casey Kopua and Kelly Jury, gained the upper hand as the home side surged out to a four goal, 29-25, at halftime.

The Pulse made inroads in the third quarter narrowing the gap to two but then faltered as the Magic finished strongly to eastablish a five goal lead going into the final quarter.
