The tournament kicks off tonight with the side taking on Wales, they play Japan and Fiji tomorrow, with the finals on Sunday.

Captain Scott Curry says they're in a tough pool but the team is training hard and jelling well.

"Wales have been playing really well, Japan are always a unknown - they were tough at the Olympics and got up over us and then Fiji is the old rivalry so the boys always get excited to play Fiji.

"It's not hard to adjust to the three day tournament, it makes the second day easier only having a couple of games," Curry said.

He said the return of Scott Dickson from injury and the inclusion of Joe Ravouvou has boosted the team.
