PCB sends Khan and Yousuf packing for pettiness

The Pakistan Cricket Board says the two former Pakistan cricket captains Younus Khan and Muhammad Yousuf have been banned from the national team for a number of reasons, including petty behaviour.

Several other players have been fined or banned for 12 months by the PCB, following reports of in-fighting during Pakistan's tour of Australia earlier this summer in which they lost every match.

The chairman of the board Ijaz Butt says they decided to impose the ban, which has no timeframe, because Khan and Yousuf have at times abused their captaincy roles by keeping on another out of the squad.

Pakistan's selectors are due this week to name their side to defend the Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies.
