Australia opts to chase again in fifth ODI in Wellington

1:49 pm on 13 March 2010

Australia have won the toss and asked New Zealand to bat first in the fifth and final one-day cricket international getting underway at 2pm in Wellington.

Offspin bowler Nathan McCullum has come in to the Black Caps eleven in place of medium pace all-rounder, James Franklin.

For Australia, bowler Clint McKay comes in for his first game in this tour in place of all rounder Ryan Harris who has an injured foot.

Australia have already retained the Chappell-Hadlee series, 3 games to 1.

But the Black Caps believe a win in today's final one dayer would give them a much needed boost ahead of the upcoming two test series.

The New Zealand coach Mark Greatbatch admits the sides last two performances in Auckland and Hamilton, where they failed to bat their allotted 50 overs, were disappointing.

However he says today's game gives them another chance.
