The Holden driver, Jamie Whincup, has grabbed pole position for the third round of the V8 Supercar Championship in Adelaide.
Team Vodafone's Whincup, who has won the opening four races of the season, will be looking to extend his championship lead in race one at the Adelaide circuit this afternoon.
Holden Racing Team's Garth Tander will be second on the grid.
Ford duo Mark Winterbottom and Paul Dumbrell will share the second row, qualifying third and fourth fastest.
New Zealand's Jason Richards and Fabian Coulthard are in fifth and sixth, while compatriot, and the Supercars' youngest driver, Shane Van Gisbergen, is in ninth position on the grid.
