Black Caps captain Tom Latham spearheaded New Zealand's 344 run total with his third one-day century.

He eventually fell for 104 but was partnered by impressive knocks from Ross Taylor (57) and Colin Munro (44) to help New Zealand to an intimidating target.

Latham's opening partner Luke Ronchi made 35 before he was bowled by Ireland's paceman Craig Young.

New Zealand's number three batsman Neil Broom made 38 before he was removed while Corey Anderson made 20 off 24 balls.

All rounder Mitchell Santner (20) and Adam Milne (10) were at the crease for the Black Caps' final ball.

New Zealand's bowling attack was lead by paceman Matt Henry who cleaned out three of Ireland's batting attack, including opener Paul Stirling for a duck.

All rounders Corey Anderson and Scott Kuggeleijn picked up two wickets each, while Adam Milne, Mitchell Santer and Ish Sodhi bagged a wicket each.

Ireland were all out for 154 by the 39th over.

New Zealand play the final match of the series against Bangladesh on Wednesday but have already wrapped up the tournament with three wins from three.
