Bulldogs hooker could miss round 2 of NRL

4:43 pm on 15 March 2010

The Bulldogs hooker Michael Ennis is in danger of missing this weekend's rugby league clash with St George Illawarra after being charged with a careless high tackle by the match review committee.

The charge stems from a sixth minute high shot on the Newcastle Knights' Matt Hilder during the Bulldogs l20-16 oss on Saturday.

Ennis faces a one match ban whether he takes the early guilty plea or unsuccessfully fights the charge.

The Warriors pivot James Maloney was charged with making dangerous contact with a kicker during the side's 24-18 loss to the Gold Coast on Sunday, but won't be suspended if he accepts the early guilty plea.
