Team New Zealand is through to the semi-finals after the first of two elimination rounds in the Louis Vuitton Trophy regatta being sailed on the Waitemata harbour.
Dean Barker and his crew beat Synergy, eliminating the Russians.
They'll have a day off tomorrow, as will Mascalzone Latino , while the other Italian crew
Azzurra, the French-German crew All4One, Sweden's Artemis and Britain's team Origin will
contest the other semi-final places.
The French crew Aleph has also been eliminated.
