After missing the last two Tests due to bereavement, Maria Tutaia teamed up with Bailey Mes in the shooting circle.

Mes was restricted by the England defenders, and was replaced mid-way through the second quarter by Te Paea Selby-Rickit.

The first half was a see-saw tussle, the Ferns led by just 1 at the main break.

But Temalisi Fakahokotau made her long awaited come-back at Goal Keep just before three-quarter time and made an immediate impact.

Holding just a 2-goal advantage at three-quarter time, the Ferns were finally able to shake England in the final minutes thanks to some clutch shooting from Maria Tutaia.
