The Northern Districts coach Grant Bradburn says he has every faith in Kane Williamson's ability to cope on the international stage if he makes the playing 11 for the second test in Hamilton starting on Saturday.

The 19-year-old batsman is the only change to the squad of 13 from the first test at the Basin Reserve where Australia won by 10 wickets.

Although Williamson's averaged more than 100 in the Plunket Shield this season the great New Zealand batsman Martin Crowe is wary about promoting him too soon.

Bradburn says until recently he's also advocated letting Williamson be for a little while longer.
