At the just completed World Championships in Florida, there were 16 men's events, including four para-events, while there were just 10 womens events with just one para-event.

In future there will be ten mens and womens events and nine para-events.

The para-events will include three mens and three womens events and three mixed events.

At last year's Olympics there were eight men's events and six women's events, however there will be seven each in Tokyo in 2020.

New Zealand won seven medals at the just completed World Championships in Florida, including three gold.
