New Zealand A cricketers tie with India

The New Zealand A cricketers have tied the second one day international with India A in Visakhapatnam.

The New Zealanders scored 269 for six in their innings which was reduced to 42 overs because of the weather.

Glenn Phillips scored an unbeaten 140 off 130 balls.

Tom Bruce scored 46.

In reply the Indians got through to the same score with the loss of nine wickets.

The locals appeared down and out at 223 for 8, but a defiant 83 from Ankit Bawne got them level on the last ball.

Captain Henry Nicholls tried eight bowlers with Todd Astle the best with four for 22 from his nine overs.

The first match was washed out.

The third match of the five match series is today at the same venue.
