The New Zealand men's and women's rugby sevens teams have gone through day one undefeated at the Oceania Championships in Fiji to advance to the playoffs.

The women will meet hosts Fiji in today's semi-finals and Papua New Guinea will take on defending champions Australia, who went undefeated on day one.
The New Zealand men will meet American Samoa in the quarter-finals.
In the other men's last eight matches, Australia play Papua New Guinea, Samoa take on Tonga, Fiji play the Cook Islands, the Solomon Islands play Vanuatu and Nauru play New Caledonia.
The Black Ferns Sevens thrashed Tahiti 70-0, beat the Cook Islands 26-5 and Papua New Guinea 15-0 in their three opening games.
The All Blacks Sevens were untroubled in beating Nauru 46-0 and the Cook Islands 36-0.
The other unbeaten men's teams are Fiji, Australia and Samoa.
For the top finishing teams for both Championships outside of the core HSBC Sevens World Series sides' there is the extra incentive of qualification for the Commonwealth Games, Sevens Rugby World Cup and HSBC Sevens Series legs.
