The organisers of this year's football world cup in South Africa are confident the tournament will be within budget despite questions being asked over the number of unsold tickets and suggestions there maybe a hundred thousand less fans in attendance.

The CEO of South Africa 2010 Danny Jordaan says his team has defied critics and had stadia built on time and they've got money in the bank.

He says they've only spent 32 percent of their US$423 million budget.
