Woods to take more time off

The world number one Tiger Woods says he'll take more time off from golf after coming back from his self-imposed exile to play the Masters.

Woods finished fourth, five shots behind winner Phil Mickleson, on his return to competition five months after revelations about his private life.

Woods says he will be taking time off to re-evaluate things and won't say when he'll return to competition.

He had been on his best behaviour since arriving at Augusta as he launched a major charm offensive in an effort to win back fans and sponsors and had said that he would try and tone down his own course anger and occasional profanity-laden outbursts.

Woods struggled with his game throughout the final day, especially off the tee and allowed his emotions to get the better of him during the final round but was unapologetic about his outbursts.
