A century by Wellington's Sophie Devine has helped the White Ferns to a thrilling one-run win over the West Indies women cricketers at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln on Sunday.
Having been sent into bat in the opening game of the three-match New Zealand made 287-9 from their 50 overs, led by Devine with 108 - her third one day century.
The West Indies captain Stefanie Taylor lead the run chase going at nearly a run a ball in making 90 from 93 deliveries.
Going into the last over the West Indies needed 11 runs to win .
Off-spinner Leigh Kasperek was given the ball for the final over and held her nerve, conceding nine runs and picking up a wicket to give the home side victory.
A four off the penultimate delivery saw the equation shrink to four runs to win off the final ball, which was lofted down the grounds for two runs, giving the home side the tightest of victories.
