Williamson becomes NZ's most prolific test century maker

The Black Caps captain Kane Williamson has become New Zealand's most prolific test century maker, scoring his 18th hundred in the opening session on day two of the day night cricket test against England at Eden Park in Auckland.

Williamson started the day on 91 and brought up his century when he guided a delivery down into gully off the bowling of James Anderson for a single.

Williamson, Ross Taylor and the late Martin Crowe shared the record previously with 17.

The milestone comes in Williamson's 63rd test and ihs 114th test innings and is just his second test century against England.

Soon after bringing up his century rain forced the players from the field with New Zealand 197 for three a lead of 139 after England were dismissed for a paltry 58 in the first innings.
