Wests Tigers have snared Wade McKinnon from the Warriors after the fullback was granted an early release from his contract.
29-year-old McKinnon had signed with the Warriors until the end of next season, but he's expected to join the Tigers later this week.
One condition of his release is that he's not allowed to play against the Warriors at Leichardt Oval on Friday night.
The Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah said losing the talented former Parramatta and South Sydney No.1 was not part of the club's plans, but they couldn't offer him regular first grade football with Lance Hohaia firmly established at fullback.
