The Chiefs midfielder Callum Bruce is leaving Waikato to take up a two-year rugby contract in Japan.
The 26 year-old will leave this weekend to join the Cannon club after playing 26 games for Waikato and 35 for the Chiefs.
Bruce also played for Otago and the Highlanders as well as representing New Zealand Maori and the Junior All Blacks.
Waikato's coach Chris Gibbes says Bruce's leadership and professionalism will be missed.
