McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has pole position for tomorrow morning's Canadian Grand Prix but he's also nearly 15 thousand dollars out of pocket.

The former world champion's been fined and reprimanded for exceeding the maximum time allowed to return to the pits in Montreal.

The English driver's team told him to stop the car on the track in order to preserve enough fuel to provide a sample for the post-qualifying inspection.

After three starts in a row from pole the championship leader Mark Webber of Australia had to settle for second while his German team mate Sebastian Vettel was third.
