Three changes to Wales team

7:22 am on 19 June 2010

Flanker Gavin Thomas will make his first Wales appearance for two years as one of three changes to coach Warren Gatland's starting side to face the All Blacks in the first Test in Dunedin tonight.

From the team that lost 31-34 to South Africa in Cardiff two weeks ago, Thomas replaces Sam Warburton, while Andrew Bishop comes in for injured centre James Hook and lock Alun Wyn Jones is preferred to Deiniol Jones.

On the bench, Scarlets halfback Tavis Knoyle is in line to make his test debut as Mike Phillips' backup.

Among the regulars not considered for the two-test tour were injury victims Hook (shoulder), winger Shane Williams (shoulder), prop Gethin Jenkins (calf) and flanker Andy Powell (thigh), while flanker Martyn Williams and scrumhalf Dwayne Peel were rested.

Number eight Ryan Jones will captain a side seeking their first win over the All Blacks since 1953 and their first victory in six attempts on New Zealand soil.
